Socioconomist specializing on interactions between household behaviour, vulnerability and social justice. Areas of specialization are 1) household survival and livelihood strategies, with a focus on indebtedness, over-indebtedness, debt bondage and on gender dimensions of vulnerability; 2) collective action and NGOs interventions, with a focus on microfinance, empowerment programme, and linkages with public policies.
From a theoretical perspective, specific attention is paid to the social meaning of money, debt and finance, the social fabric of markets, organizations and institutions.
